Documentary wedding films at The Wellbeing Farm, Edgworth, Lancashire.

A venue that genuinely means it when it says your day, your way.

The Wellbeing Farm sits outside Edgworth in Lancashire, looking out over the West Pennine Moors. What sets it apart isn't the view, though that's something in itself. It's the approach. The venue is built around the idea that weddings should be different, and the team there actually follow through on it. The flexibility couples get when planning a day at the Wellbeing Farm is real. The staff are genuinely invested in making it work, and they go well out of their way to make that happen. It's a place I've filmed at many times, and that attitude comes through in every wedding I've covered there.

The llamas are always worth mentioning too. They roam the grounds and have an unfailing ability to make people smile at the exact moment they need it. You can't manufacture that kind of thing, and it makes for some genuinely lovely moments on film.

Couples who choose the Wellbeing Farm tend to want a day that feels personal rather than procedural. That suits the way I film very well. If you're planning a wedding there and you want a filmmaker who knows the venue and understands what makes it special, drop me a message and let's talk.

A Wellbeing Farm wedding I’ve filmed

Alex & Gem

The Wellbeing Farm, Edgworth, Lancashire

Alex and Gem kept their wedding close. A small, carefully chosen group of people who all mattered, which made the whole day feel genuinely meaningful rather than just well organised. There's something about a wedding at that scale where every room feels full in the right way and every moment lands with more weight.

Gem's speech was one of the highlights of the day. A perfectly written and delivered rhyme about being an air traffic controller and a pilot, which brought the room completely together. We used it as the voiceover narrative running through the film, and it works beautifully. Then during the drinks reception, two RAF jets came through so low that you could feel the vibration in your chest. Gem had arranged the flyby as a surprise and pulled it off. The entire wedding stopped and watched. Nobody quite knew what to say afterwards.

Paul joined as second shooter on the day, which meant both sides of the morning were covered and nothing got missed. I arrived at the venue before Alex and Gem to get additional footage of the space before the day began, the kind of material that adds texture to the film without anyone noticing it's there.

What Alex & Gem said

★★★★★

The teaser video was spectacular, but the final edits surpassed all of our expectations. He was able to compile the videos in a creative way — using the Best Woman’s speech as a voiceover narrative to the story was a particular highlight. Terry is highly recommended. You will receive excellent, professional, friendly service with fantastic final quality products.
