Getting married in Cheshire?
Cheshire has some genuinely brilliant wedding venues. Country houses with walled gardens, converted barns that feel properly rural, intimate venues tucked into the countryside between towns. I've filmed at Colshaw Hall, Heaton House Farm, The Hayloft and other venues across the county. Each one has its own character that shapes how a day feels, and that character is one of the things I pay most attention to when I'm filming.
I'm Terry, the filmmaker behind Capture That Films. Based in Preston, I travel regularly into Cheshire for weddings. I'm set up and familiar with the venue well before anything starts, which makes a real difference to how the morning unfolds for everyone involved.
My approach is documentary throughout. No direction, no staging, nothing asked of you that you wouldn't naturally do. I show up, blend in, and film the day as it actually happens. The small, unplanned moments are almost always the ones that matter most, and those are the ones a film needs.

Exclusive use of the house and grounds, a walled garden ceremony space, and an interior that looks exactly how a grand Cheshire country house should. Laura and Dan’s day here had everything including Dominos delivered from the back of an HGV at the end of the night.

Heaton House Farm near Macclesfield has a barn venue that actually feels like a barn rather than a function room dressed up as one. Open Cheshire countryside, a relaxed layout that lets a wedding day breathe, and the kind of atmosphere that puts families at ease. One of my first couples here recommended me to others still booking today.

The Hayloft is one of the more intimate venues in Cheshire. A converted barn with a genuinely relaxed feel, set in open countryside. Emma arrived for her wedding in the most brilliant camper van. Her sister’s speech was one of those moments that stops you behind the camera and reminds you why this job is worth doing.
