Insured and Covered
Not the most exciting page on the site, I know. If your venue has asked whether I'm insured, this is everything you need.
Honestly, most couples never give this a second thought, and that's exactly how it should be. Your venue might, though. They'll often want to know your suppliers are insured before the day, so I've put everything they need right here. You can send them straight to this page, or pass me their details and I'll get my certificate over to them. Whatever's easier for you.
My cover at a glance
What this actually means for you
In plain terms, public liability insurance is there for the rare moment something goes wrong, say a piece of my kit caused damage or someone tripped over a cable. It means you, your guests and your venue are all covered, and it's the bit venues tend to ask about.
It's one of those things you really hope never comes into play. I carry it because looking after you properly matters to me, on the day and all around it.
If something goes wrong on the day
Insurance is one side of it. The bigger reassurance, really, is how I actually work, so that one thing going wrong on the day never costs you your film.
- Every camera records to two memory cards at once, so your footage is being copied as it's filmed
- I back everything up partway through the day, so it's safe before we're even finished
- Back at the studio, I back it all up again, then upload a further copy to the cloud
- That leaves two local backups and one off-site copy of your day, with nothing wiped until it's all secure
- Your audio is dual recorded too, so the words that matter, your vows and your speeches, are never riding on a single mic
It means you can relax on the day and trust that the moments are safe.
