10 reasons why hiring a Wedding Videographer is totally worth it

I’ll never forget one wedding I filmed. The groom was standing at the end of the aisle with their young son by his side. As the music started, both of them were already in tears, and when I say tears, they were both really sobbing.

It was pure, unfiltered emotion, captured naturally as it unfolded.

The bride had no idea this was happening. She was outside, holding her dad’s arm, taking a deep breath before walking in. Without me there as a Wedding Videographer, she would never have truly seen that moment, never have heard her little boy’s shaky breath or seen the way her partner tried to compose himself and their son

That’s the thing about wedding videography. It’s not just about what you remember. It’s about capturing the moments you didn’t even know happened and capturing them in such a way that you feel how it actually felt to be there at that moment in time. Photos alone can’t portray this emotion in a way that film can.

1. Watch the moments you missed

While you’re caught up in the excitement, a hundred little things are happening all around you. Those friends and family closest to you are laughing together, your parents are sharing a proud smile and before any of this happens, you are both preparing for the day ahead in different locations. Your wedding film lets you see all this, and much more.

2. It captures audio, and this is king!

Whilst Photos can show these moments, only video lets you hear the wobble in your vows, the laughter during speeches, and your guests cheering as you walk back up the aisle. It’s this audio that brings back the full emotion of your day and is what helps make your film powerful and personal.

3. Bring your day back to life

Photographs can help tell a story, but instead of looking at a moment that is frozen in time, you can see the way your partner looked at you, hear the music, and watch the way your day unfolded exactly as it naturally happened. A Wedding Film tells the story of you as a couple and takes you right back to the day itself.

4. Your film’s intent changes over time

Once your Wedding Film has been edited and delivered, its immediate goal is to help you relive the magic of your Wedding Day. But years from now the intent of the film changes, and it becomes almost a time capsule, allowing you to remember those who are sadly no longer with us, and those who have gained a little more life experience. Years from now, you will not only remember every second like it was yesterday, but you’ll be able to cherish the moments of friends and family that appeared in it.

5. Perfect for those that couldn’t attend

Whether it’s a relative overseas or a friend who couldn’t make it, your film lets them experience your day as if they were right there with you. I capture everything from your venues surroundings, the decor, and of course all those special moments that your day brings.

6. Share, stream, download and cast

Thanks to the way I deliver your Wedding Films, you can easily watch and share them at anytime. I deliver your films in a beautiful online gallery. It’s like Netflix, but for your Wedding!

7. The emotion is real and raw

My style of Wedding Videography means that the majority of your day is captured exactly how it lovingly unfolded. This makes your Wedding Video much more natural and personal, perfect for those camera shy couples. I only give a little direction should I feel it will impact your film in a positive way :)

8. It’s the only part of your Wedding Day that lasts forever

Keeping the love you share and your promises in mind, your Wedding Video is probably one of the main aspects of your day that you will keep forever. It never loses value, never becomes a distant memory and it doesn’t lose its place over time.

9. It’s an investment that’s only a small percentage of your budget

Whilst Wedding Videography isn’t something you can fit within your budget without any consideration at all, it is only a small percentage of your wedding budget when you consider the price of your venue, decor, attire, flowers, entertainment and catering. Your Wedding Film preserves the memories of all these.

10. It tells the story of you as a couple

A good Wedding Film is shot and edited to help tell the story of you as a couple. It’s far from a montage of film overlaid with music. It’s edited with craft and artistry to give maximum impact.
