North West Wedding Awards 2026 FINALIST
I'm thrilled to make it as a finalist at the North West Wedding Awards 2026 for Wedding Videography, and I've been invited to the black tie awards ceremony later this year.
I genuinely didn't know how to feel when the email landed in my inbox. A little stunned, if I'm honest.
Last year, a couple took the time to nominate me for the awards. That in itself meant more than I let on at the time. You go into this job because you love it, because there's something pretty special about being trusted to capture one of the biggest days of someone's life but you don't always know if the work is landing the way you hope, but being nominated told me it was.
After that, I asked my couples whether they'd be happy to share their thoughts on their films as part of the judging process. They didn't have to, I understand they were busy people, some of them with new babies, new homes and of course new chapters as being newly weds, and yet they sat down and wrote something kind and considered on my behalf.
I'm not going to pretend this is just a nice trophy. Being recognised in an industry like this, in a region like the North West where there are so many genuinely talented people doing brilliant work, it really means something.
It tells me that the way I approach this job, the care I put into getting to know couples before the day, the time spent in the edit making sure a film feels right rather than just looks right, it's noticed. And more than that, it's valued and that matters to me far more than any award itself.
To every couple who sent in a comment, who took time out of their day to say something kind about their film, thank you.
And to whoever it was who first put my name forward ( hopefully I will find out so I can thank you personally ) I hope you know how much that meant.
I'll be heading to the ceremony later this year with a lot of gratitude and probably a fair amount of nerves. Whatever happens on the night, I already feel pretty lucky to be in the room.
